{"id":15846,"date":"2016-04-05T11:40:53","date_gmt":"2016-04-05T10:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dide.org\/world-autism-awareness-day\/"},"modified":"2016-04-05T11:40:53","modified_gmt":"2016-04-05T10:40:53","slug":"world-autism-awareness-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dide.org\/en\/world-autism-awareness-day\/","title":{"rendered":"World Autism Awareness Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;On World Autism Awareness Day, I urge that the rights of people with autism be promoted and their full participation and inclusion be ensured, as valuable members of our diverse human family, so that they can contribute to creating a future of dignity and opportunity for all.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Message from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, April 2, 2016.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dide.app\"><strong>dide<\/strong><\/a>, we are committed to inclusion and believe in the countless benefits of growing together by addressing diversity<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We frequently and sadly forget that <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/dide.org\/dide-educacion-inclusiva-aprender-diversidad-convivencia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diversity is an inherent reality<\/a> of the human being. Today and during this week especially, we are committed to and fight for the inclusion of all people with autism or diagnosed with any of the autism spectrum disorders. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The team of professionals at dide understands that a comprehensive approach is necessary, bringing together all spheres of society, an approach that detects early, and that supports families and education professionals who live day to day with children who have autism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We also believe and urge that the different public institutions work and invest with real resources to ensure that people with autism are represented, heard, and valued. Because these boys and girls, who tomorrow will be adults, give meaning and turn our work, our classrooms, and our society into better places, places with hope. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved the new <strong>2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/strong>, which is universally applicable; we are going to highlight the common objectives with the tasks we carry out from dide<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6221\" src=\"http:\/\/dide.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/image-12-1024x594.png\" alt=\"dide and its impact on the sustainable development goals\" width=\"1024\" height=\"594\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, decent and productive employment for all members of society.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reduce inequality within and among countries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">That is why, and related to objective number three, we are working with 8 countries in Latin America apart from Spain, and soon we will cross the language barrier and cultural differences, making it possible to prevent and care early for those who need it most where it is most needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We continue to move forward to achieve a present and a future based on equal opportunities!
