III Edition of the Early Childhood School Award for Innovative Educational Projects

The professional magazine Escuela Infantil, from the Siena publishing group –the publishing company of MAGISTERIO–, celebrated the III Early Childhood School Award on March 15 for educational experiences carried out in the classroom from 0 to 6 years.

The díde team had the honor of participating once again in the presentation of these awards, specifically for Solidarity Projects. In this category, projects that promote the spirit of help and the idea that doing something for someone leads to an impact on the learning and personal growth of those who intend to help others have been valued.

The three winning solidarity projects were:

  • The first is a project of education in values and cooperation that has involved the entire educational community, giving free rein to creativity and approaching important painters, their lives, how they painted and why. And all this, with a social purpose, to help the neediest children in the Torrevieja area. Francisca Fernández and María Soledad Gracia collect their award on behalf of La Casita Bilingual School of El Chaparral, Torrevieja, Alicante, for “Little Artists”.

  • The second award-winning work in this category incorporates into its activities a reflection on consumerism and the responsibility we have for animals incorporated into the letter of the Three Wise Men as if they were just another toy. Elena Dávila Fuentes from CEIP “Nuestra Señora de la Concepción” in Madrid, for “We think before we buy”

  • The following work aims to put the little ones in contact with people with intellectual disabilities in a search for mutual enrichment. All of them carry out, on a monthly basis, joint activities related to the stimulation of the senses and the benefits go further, advancing in inclusion, coexistence and the creation of bonds. The Early Childhood School Award for SOLIDARITY PROJECTS in Special Educational Needs is, on this occasion, for the “Infanta Sofía” Early Childhood School in collaboration with the San Cebrián Foundation, of Palencia for “Opening senses”. Yolanda Sánchez Quirce collects it.

Psychomotor Development and Healthy Habits with experiences aimed at progressing in motor skills, contemplating the body as a path of growth that must be taken care of based on routines.

Language, Communication and Emotions with projects on language as the axis for the development of the child as a social being who needs to communicate what he/she feels.

Extracurricular, with activities planned by AMPAs, private companies or center staff outside of school hours or the classroom.

Mathematical Thinking, experiences were requested aimed at working on the analytical, comparison and abstraction skills necessary to operate and develop the basis of logical reasoning and spatial and mathematical concepts.

Finally, the closing ceremony was given by the president of the State School Council, Ángel de Miguel, who highlighted the affection and emotion both in the work of the organizers and in that of the candidates, encouraging teachers to present the projects to the Administration, according to him, he will be watching.

Course after course, the professionals of education and early childhood school manage to achieve small miracles in the form of boys and girls who have acquired new skills and knowledge. This miracle is due to the great daily work carried out by all early childhood educators, vital in the development of the little ones.

Your work requires a lot of patience and dedication, since children of these ages have a lot of energy, curiosity, experiment with everything (whether they should or not) and the people who enter the classroom every day with them, have to put aside the concerns of “adults” to look through their eyes, educate and learn at their side, be imaginative, dynamic, energetic, fun and endless skills that are put to the test every day, always thinking about the needs and aspirations of the little ones to make them feel good.

Education professionals must commit to inclusive education with equal opportunities

From díde, we want to thank the teachers of Early Childhood Education who not only work but are excited and enjoy improving the daily lives of so many children. A recognition for all the initiatives, educational centers and spaces of coexistence in which scenarios full of growth and smiles, trust and creativity, knowledge and friendship are promoted and created daily. You, together with the families, lay the first foundations of the future of our society.

Congratulations to the winners!!

We thank the organization of these awards for making us participants in this great event that unites education professionals around the same objective.
