October 5th is a very special day, as we celebrate Teacher’s Day. This commemoration seeks to recognize and appreciate the commitment, dedication, and hard work of our educators.
Teachers are the backbone of education. They are the ones who inspire, motivate, and guide each generation towards a brighter future. Their work goes far beyond imparting knowledge; they are mentors, guides, and role models for our youth.
In line with the United Nations’ principles on education, every child has the right to an education that allows for their integral development. Teachers are key agents in achieving this right. Their role is essential in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially with regard to quality education (Goal 4).
The Organic Law of Education (LOE) recognizes the importance of teachers in the education system, as guarantors of the quality and equity of education.
