The United Nations celebrates this International Children’s Day in honor of two dates:
November 20, 1959, was the date on which the UN General Assembly approved the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959.
After years of negotiations with governments, religious leaders, NGOs, and other institutions, the Convention on the Rights of the Child was agreed on November 20, 1989, the fulfillment of which is mandatory for all signatory countries.

From Grupo VS we work to achieve well-being and equal opportunities for all boys and girls, connecting families, educational centers, and health and education professionals with that same goal. We have materialized this mission through the platform díde. With díde you can help fulfill children’s rights related to their education, protection, nutrition, happiness, equality, integration, health, family…
We want to advocate and remember on this day, November 20, 2016, the long road that remains to be traveled to ensure that the rights of all boys and girls are fulfilled, regardless of their origin, their culture, their socioeconomic status, their aptitudes and physical or mental condition, their race, religion, or sex.
But we also want to be positive and rejoice in the achievements and progress, thanking all the families involved, the professionals who not only work but are excited and enjoy improving the daily lives of so many children. Today is also a good day to recognize and congratulate all the initiatives, educational centers, and spaces for coexistence in which scenarios full of growth and smiles, trust and creativity, wisdom and friendship are promoted and created daily.
We know that by collaborating together for the rights of children we can advance exponentially and reach unimaginable places. By fighting for children, we contribute to making a society that is increasingly global and connected more just and coherent.
Let’s turn differences into opportunities, let’s become aware so that children stop being the most vulnerable group of all.
Let us not forget TODAY the little people we were yesterday and let us never look away from those other little people who can make a better world tomorrow if TODAY and NOW we give them the opportunity to grow, learn and be happy.
Dedicated to the girls and boys we were and to the sparkle in the eyes of millions of little ones around the world who fight so that it is not taken away from them.
